Talking Heads fans in Queensland are in for a treat this spring when famous frontman DAVID BYRNE stops on the Gold Coast as part of his 2018 American Utopia World Tour.

David Byrne was the lead singer and guitarist of pioneering New Wave band Talking Heads that rose to fame in America during the late ‘70s and early ‘80s for their string of dance-worthy hits. Amongst their repertoire are the chart-topping songs “Psycho Killer”, This Must Be the Place (Naive Melody)”, “Once In a Lifetime”, “Burning Down the House”, “Take Me to the River” and more, which led them to being called one of the most important bands of the ‘80s.
During their peak of fame in the ‘80s, David Byrne began experimenting on solo work and collaborations with other artists, including famous English producer Brian Eno. As a solo artist, David Byrne has released 10 studio albums since his first solo release in 1981, with notable singles including “The Jezebel Spirit”, “The Forestry”, “Like Humans Do”, “U.B. Jesus”, and “Strange Overtones”.
